Job description:

·         AKT Peerless is seeking a Geologist, Hydro-geologist, or Geological (Civil) Engineer to assist with environmental site assessment and site investigations. 

·         Eight to 10-years experience preferred with project management and office management experience.

·         Individual will oversee technical staff conducting Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, UST investigations and closures, and BEAs/Due Care Plans. 

·         Ideal candidate would have the following: (1) certifications such as, PE, CP, CPG, or CHMM, (2) experience planning strategy with clients and mentoring staff, (3) experience with tracking timesheets and invoicing, and (4) 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER.

Job description:

·         Individual will conduct fieldwork and assist with report preparation in the office.  Field-work will include: collecting soil and groundwater samples, using a variety of field techniques, surveying, and monitoring.  Office work will include assisting with preparation of technical reports. 

·         Ideal candidate would have the following: (1) knowledge of depositional environment, soil/rock classification, hydrogeology, hydrology, and contaminant transport, (2) introduction to environmental regulation, (3) knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, (4) experience collection soil and groundwater samples, and (5) 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER.
