2011, The Piquette Square Brownfield Redevelopment project located Detroit was awarded the 2010 Phoenix Award for Community Impact. The project was further recognized as the First Runner Up for the Phoenix Grand Prize. This significant brownfield project was redeveloped into housing, job training, and counseling services for homeless veterans in the City of Detroit.

2003 - AKT Peerless was awarded the 2003 Phoenix Award for Excellence in Brownfield Development. AKT Peerless, working with the City of Jackson and the State of Michigan, aided Consumers Energy in a project that transformed an abandoned and contaminated 15-acre brownfield site located in downtown Jackson into an urban campus consisting of new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters for one of the city's longest standing businesses.
In 2015, the USEPA Region 5 selected the Uptown at River’s Edge in Bay City, Michigan for outstanding contributions to brownfield site redevelopment. The 43-acre riverfront redevelopment has radically changed a blighted and contaminated industrial site into a vibrant, mixed-use urban environment.
