AKT Peerless is excited to announce the asset acquisition of Superior Environmental Corporation.

Superior Environmental has provided environmental and engineering services for over 33 years to manufacturing, petroleum, real estate and government clients.  Superior is headquartered in the Grand Rapids region and has offices in Illinois, Ohio and Connecticut.

Both Superior and AKT Peerless were established in 1989 and grew to offer complementary services. AKT Peerless is an industry leader in environmental due diligence, economic development incentives, brownfield redevelopment, and construction loan consulting. Superior is well-respected in the petroleum market and is a trusted partner with state regulatory agencies. With the addition of the Superior team, AKT Peerless will have offices in Coopersville, Manistee, Saginaw, Farmington and Detroit Michigan, Springfield and Naperville Illinois, Cleveland and Columbus Ohio, Atlanta Georgia, Cheshire Connecticut, and El Cerrito California.

Brian Eggers, Principal at AKT Peerless, said
“We have enjoyed a longstanding and trusting relationship with the Superior team going back 30 plus years. Jeff Skendrovic (Vice President of Operations) and his team have earned an outstanding reputation within our industry. We are excited to work with Superior clients in providing them with a wider range of environmental engineering solutions with a larger geographic footprint. Our clients will benefit from the greater economic efficiencies this union will provide.”

Jeff Skendrovic at Superior said
“After 30 plus years of being friendly competitors, we are very excited to be joining forces with the AKT Peerless Environmental Services team.  Our companies share similar cultures and values and joining with AKT Peerless will provide Superior’s employees with greater opportunities for professional growth.  The combined talents of our companies will definitely enhance the capabilities and services that we collectively provide to meet the needs of our respective clients.”

The addition of the Superior team is part of AKT Peerless’ strategic growth plan, enabling AKT Peerless to provide environmental consulting services to broader client base in key geographic locations. AKT Peerless looks forward to working together with Superior to provide our clients a better environment for their business.
