Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Hydrogeology, Geology, or related from an accredited university.
- 5-10+ years of Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or related environmental consulting experience.
- Strong background/experience with environmental due diligence – Phase I & Phase II ESAs
- Direct experience with Illinois LUST Investigation and Remediation
- Ability to effectively manage and coordinate staff and corporate leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current with 8-hour refresher courses.
- Familiarity with the Illinois EPA Site Remediation Program.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead/work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing due diligence and UST services. Expectations include:
- Managing and conducting Phase I & Phase II ESAs to ASTM or higher standards.
- Interpretation of analytical data using spreadsheets and databases.
- An in-depth understanding of Illinois UST/LUST requirements.
- Calculation of risk-based remediation objectives.
- Demonstrating full knowledge of each project’s status and goals.
- Performing tasks across multiple disciplines to bring about successful project completion.
- Trained with the goal of advancing into a Group Leader role, with future responsibilities including team management and overseeing office operations.
- Providing quality environmental services.
- Responding to customers in a timely manner.
