Cuthbertson Reappointed to Response Activity Review Panel

James Cuthbertson, Senior Project Manager, at AKT Peerless Environmental Services has been reappointed by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) Director Liesl Eichler Clark to serve on the Response Activity Review Panel (Panel).

Panel was authorized by the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA), 1994 PA 451, as amended, in 2010 to assist in resolving technical disputes between the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) and the party conducting remedial activities at contaminated sites regulated by NREPA Part 201 or 213. Members of the panel must meet specified minimum requirements by demonstrating appropriate educational background and relevant experience.

“It is an honor to be appointed to serve for my third term on this panel of industry-leading technical experts,” said Jim Cuthbertson, “This panel is a great way to address disputes and clarify the path forward necessary to complete site investigation and remediation.”

Jim Cuthbertson’s reappointment to the Panel is a recognition of his knowledge of remedial investigation and remediation of sites of environmental contamination.

Jim’s appointment will begin on June 7, 2022, and will run for three years.
