John Miller, Human Resources Director at AKT Peerless, has been appointed to the Executive Council of the Stevens Center for Family Business within the College of Business at Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan.
The Stevens Center for Family Business (SCFB) exists to support the success of family businesses throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan, both in their business pursuits as well as in their family relationships and has been doing so since 1999. The SCFB helps family businesses be successful by facilitating major events, a membership program, and academic coursework in the family business, all with a focus on sharing best practices leveraged across the membership and their nationally recognized network of experts.
Miller, a 2001 graduate of Michigan State University, joined AKT Peerless in September 2006. In addition to his companywide Human Resources responsibilities, Miller is a member of AKT Peerless’ marketing team and also provides community relations support with a focus on the Great Lakes Bay region of Michigan. He will serve a two-year term on the SCFB’s Executive Council.
